Density

• Density is mass per unit volume.
  
  
• Density has the symbol p and units of kg m^-3.
  
  That is kilogram per cubic meter (kg/m³) or as it is often quoted, gram per cubic centimeter (g/cc, g/cm³ or g cm^-3)
  
  
• Since @ 4^oC, 1 ml of water weighs exactly 1 gram, the density of solutions are often quoted in g/ml.
