To make up a
stock solution
of sodium or potassium metabisulphite (
Na

O

) -
Measure 200
gm
of sodium or potassium metabisulphite (avoid lumps if possible)
Dissolve in, 1 litre (
L
) or 1000 millilitre (
ml
) of
distilled water
.
1 ml of this
stock solution
added to 10 L of juice or wine will raise the juice/wine by
approximately
10
ppm
(mg/L) of
sulphur dioxide
(ie.
TSO
2
).
