Heat required during BSO₂ and TSO₂ determinations

• It can be difficult to differentiate between the bubbling through the sample resulting from the air being aspirated and the boiling action during the determination of BSO₂ and TSO₂.
  
  
• The return of condensate observed at the condenser drip point (lower joint) is an indication of boiling.
  
  
• The observation of condensate above the half way point of the condenser coil indicates to high a boiling rate.
