Manometer calibration
1. - Fill the manometer, with water, up to the mark
2. Carefully, and using some hand protection, ensure that the tube in the rubber stopper is able to move freely (if not see note, step 4).
3. Attach the manometer as shown in Fig 5 & Fig 6.
4. At the correct flow rate of 1L/min., raise the manometer tube until bubbles form. Then lower the tube until it just stops bubbling and mark the tube bottom height on the test tube using a water proof texta or tape.
Note: If the tube is stuck vary the water level instead of the tube position until the manometer tube just stops bubbling. Mark the new water level instead of the tube height.
5. Always ensure that the water level is at the correct level for the system you are using. ( Note)
